At KoraWise we take your privacy, and your child's, seriously. This policy explains what data we process, for what purpose and what rights you have.

1. Who the data controller is

The controller of your data is Improving Psicopedagogia Sociedad Civil Profesional (tax ID J66829102), with registered address at C. Torras i Pujalt 12-20 bajos A, 08022 Barcelona (Barcelona), Spain. You can contact us at any time by writing to info@korawise.app.

2. What data we process

Depending on how you use KoraWise, we may process:

• Account data: name, email address, password (encrypted) and preferred language.
• Family context data: parental role, family situation and other information you give us during the initial setup to personalise the content.
• Data about your child: name or nickname, age or age range, and the observations, ratings and comments you record in the diary.
• Usage data: lessons completed, challenges, activity streak, days connected and the content of your conversations with the Kora assistant.
• Subscription and purchase data: your plan and subscription status, and your purchase history (product, date, amount and the store's order number). Payments are processed by Stripe (on the web) or Google Play (in the Android app); we do not receive or store your card details.

4. Data about children

KoraWise is designed to be used by adult parents or guardians, not by children. When you record information about your child, you do so in the exercise of your parental responsibility or guardianship. We process this data only to provide you with the service and never use it for advertising aimed at the child.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. To operate, KoraWise uses technology providers that act as data processors:

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication.
• Vercel — hosting of the website and of the services that connect the app with Kora.
• Anthropic — the artificial intelligence model that powers the Kora assistant.
• Voyage AI — searching the programme's content to guide Kora's responses; it receives the text of the messages to carry out this search.
• OpenAI — speech synthesis (reading lessons and responses aloud).
• Resend — sending the service's emails (for example, password recovery codes).
• RevenueCat — managing purchases made from the Android app. It receives an internal identifier for your account (not your name or email) and the details of the purchases you make on Google Play.

Payments are handled by Stripe (web payments) and Google Play (purchases in the Android app), as independent controllers and in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Some of these providers are located outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the United States). In these cases, transfers are made with appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

6. How long we keep data

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to, we will delete your data, except for any data we are legally required to keep, for the period the law requires.

7. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability at any time by writing to info@korawise.app. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time and to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) if you believe we have not processed your data correctly.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption of credentials and restricted access to information.

9. Use of artificial intelligence

KoraWise uses artificial intelligence services from Anthropic, OpenAI and Voyage AI to generate personalised educational content, recommendations, analyses and responses through the Kora assistant, and to search the programme's content for the most relevant information for each response.

When artificial intelligence services are used:

• Only the minimum contextual information needed to generate the requested content is shared with the AI provider.
• Personal data is not used to train, improve or develop artificial intelligence models.
• AI-generated responses are created on demand and are not reviewed by people, except where necessary to provide technical support or to comply with legal obligations.
• AI providers act exclusively as data processors on our behalf and process information only in accordance with our instructions.

We apply appropriate contractual and technical measures to ensure that any information processed by artificial intelligence providers is protected in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Language limitations when using artificial intelligence:

KoraWise uses artificial intelligence systems to generate content and responses in different languages, currently Catalan, Spanish and English. Despite KoraWise's efforts to ensure the linguistic accuracy of the generated content, artificial intelligence systems may occasionally produce inaccuracies, terminology errors or expressions that do not fully conform to the rules, usage or particularities of each language. KoraWise therefore cannot guarantee the absolute linguistic accuracy of all content generated in any of the available languages.

We thank users for their understanding of these possible limitations and let them know that KoraWise works continuously to reduce how often they occur and to improve the quality, accuracy and linguistic suitability of the content generated in each of the available languages.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If the changes are significant, we will notify you through the app or by email.
